VSA Partners

Here is a sample of my work as a designer at the creative agency VSA Partners. It was an amazing experience to work on a variety of clients and projects. I was really excited to design a Disney brand book for Leo Burnett where I had one of my first internships.

Just Dance Kids

This was a fun little project to redesign the Just Dance Kids keyart way back in 2014. I really had a great time creating so many colorful and typography focused iterations. It’s not everyday you get to work with such bright colors, loud type, and funky textures.

The Hip Hop Dance Experience

Have I mentioned I worked on a lot of video game marketing campaigns? Here is another sample of work I designed for The Hip Hop Dance Experience. I listened to every song in the game and created unique typographic treatments tailored to each artist and song. The finished product was translated into TV and print advertisements, trailers, and promotions.

Neopets

I was also a designer for the virtual pet website Neopets. Things were really taking off at the time I was working there — the fanbase was amazing, and I was really proud of the work I was creating. My colleagues and me loved going to the mall and seeing our work in high-end retailers like Hot Topic, Claires, and Spencer’s. All kidding aside it was a blast. Even now I love telling people I worked at Neopets and having them realize they had merch I designed.

WCN Catalogs

At the time I was working as an art director designing pro-sport and college headwear, I was also responsible for creating catalogs (lots of catalogs) used by the sales team to help sell the merchandise. It was a fairly small operation so I had to wear many hats — from art direction, design, and production. I art directed every photoshoot, and managed the in-house team that worked endless hours and helped create a library of great catalog work.

The Fun Stuff

Like most graphic designers, I’m asked on a yearly basis to design a logo for their kid’s soccer team. So every year I oblige. Recently I’ve started accepting payments in meatballs. I also enjoy doing some more serious/fun work for the wonderful folks behind Team Owen.

Steelcase / Turnstone — VSA Partners

While living in Chicago I had the privilege to work for the creative agency VSA partners. The primary account I worked on was Steelcase/Turnstone — who’s are known for manufacturing consumer to high-end furniture and office systems. I learned a lot working on that account and spent months art directing photoshoots and catalogs. I even got to do design work for a retail space!

Ubisoft

I’ve had the awesome opportunity to work at the Ubisoft office in San Francisco. The space was amazing, the people were even more amazinglier (sic). The design work I was tasked to work on could vary from day to day. Either way I gave it my all to make every assets as fun and engaging as possible. What you are seeing here is a variety of work from social media assets, game console skins, and retail space designs.

NFL, MLB, NBA apparel

There was a time in my life when I designed licensed headwear for the NFL, MLB, NBA, and College/NCAA. This is just a small sample of the work I designed. I loved the process of how a design goes from a sketch, to the computer, to manufacturers, to retail, to the top of people’s heads. I still get a kick out of seeing people on the street wearing something I designed, or even better on TV during a game.
